MEET THE TEAM
A longtime veteran of Austin real estate, Rance began his real estate career in 1986. After graduating from Principia College, he worked with Lee & Associates Commercial Real Estate Services Inc. in booming Ontario, California. For 8 years, Rance engaged in commercial real estate transactions, specializing in industrial and commercial brokerage services for property owners, developers, financial institutions, and Fortune 500 companies. Rance owns several entities and created ARCA Specialties in 2015 as his other businesses grew. Some past notable developments include:
Florence Gardens, Florence, Arizona. A 3,500 lot subdivision. Activities included marketing and sales of 350 improved lots. Construction and sales of 38 homes. Entitlement and bulk sale of 156 lots.
Tierra Del Sol, Florence, Arizona. A 120 lot subdivision. Activities included planning, zoning, financing, construction management, marketing, and sales.
Casita Hermosa Condominiums, Florence, Arizona. A 79 unit condominium development. Activities included construction management, marketing, and sales.
Bel Air Lofts, Austin, Texas. An 83 unit urban condominium development. Activities included financing, operations, marketing, and sales.
Pease Place, Austin, Texas. A 25 unit condominium development with built-in solar.
904 West, Austin Texas. A 28 unit condominium development with built-in solar, including live/work units and two retail condos.
Towns on Cumberland. A 13 unit townhouse development with many green amenities including tankless water heaters, 100% LED lighting, and more.
Vice President of Marketing
Scott has 21 years of experience in sales, marketing, and brand management. Early in his career, Scott worked with consumer product goods introducing them to new markets in the DFW area. His career moved him to Chicago where he pursued an interest in automotive marketing and worked on the agency side by engaging in lead generation, experiential marketing, and brand awareness for General Motors. Scott moved back to Austin in 2009 to work with Audi of America managing identity and brand standards with dealerships across the country. Scott’s passion for marketing in the luxury segment led him to Aspen Heights where he was a regional marketing manager. Most recently, he was the director of marketing for Core Spaces—who focuses on mid to high-rise products near college campuses nationwide. Scott joined MadNic in February 2016 and has since helped the company scale appropriately with branding and marketing efforts.
Vice President of Operations
Kurtis has 25 years of diverse experience in operations management across the real estate industry. Born into the business, Kurtis began his career as a sales agent right out of college when he joined his family’s real estate company and eventually managed three offices with over one hundred agents in the suburbs of Chicago. In addition to overseeing operations for the residential side of the business, Kurtis also managed the company’s portfolio of commercial properties. Eventually, Kurtis transitioned to the family’s construction company where he overhauled process and technology to increase profits on large residential remodeling projects. After 22 years in the Chicago market, Kurtis moved his family to Austin to accept a position in corporate operations at Keller Williams world headquarters. In 2019, Kurtis joined the team at Capsa Ventures where he oversees all operations for the suite of businesses that encompass real estate development, construction, and brokerage.
